As much as we're going to hear out it for a long time, Burgs was fantastic, got us over the line. Good to see ticker from the Tin Man!

Bunny chased 315!! Crickey

Looks like Cricket Box was way of the mark in the Bunny / Stars game, I think the quote was "wont get within 100", looks like it was a thriller.

I Hate Everyone, I'll admit it, I was a long way off there, but happy to be so.

Well done to Bundoora, what a fantastic win. I'm quite happy to eat my words, chasing down a total that size is a massive effort.

I did, however, say that Minney would get 120 or so and the rest of his side would let him down. Was pretty much on the money there.

Some interesting results, Lower Eltham looking the goods so far, Riverside demolishedby a rampant Epping, Plenty on the board in a good performance against Macleod and Mernda sneaking past Lower Plenty which I also tipped wrong.

You're a goose! You are still having a crack at me? Firstly, if Skips gets 150+ Eltham win, but sadly I think that he will end up with 120 and Eltham just fall short. As for them finishing last! No chance, ELtham always find a way to knock a couple of sides over!

As for me getting the rising star award, I may find it a little tough getting enough votes when I'm NOT playing!

Not a bad stab at the end result of the Eltham Research. Was spot on! Very disappointing to see Eltham 1/160 and crumble!

Vilos/430king you disgust me! Having two alias (possibly more) Why don't you come out and admit that you are also JBs Shadow!

Re: DVCA: Barclay Shield

hey guys, heard lots of things about this site and decided to join up. looked like the panther's were a bit stiff on the weekend, in a winning position and probably shoulda gone on with it, i guess that's the pitfalls of chasing big targets.

bunny's chasing down 300+ is also a massive effort!

Good call on Skips and Eltham though, I hope you had a few bucks on it.

Re: DVCA: Barclay Shield

What a win to the Bulls on the weekend! I've been reading this site for a while now and after the excitment of Saturday thought I'd get on line.

100% BULL is all you can expect!!!

great effort by our boys which will hopefully give us a huge confidence boost for the upcoming rounds, hung in there all day and batted for 80 overs which is something we don't do a hell of a lot. in saying that there are going to be some huge totals on that ground this season, some long days in the field await.
Looking forward to Mernda this week, anyone know if Bakes has returned from " his three hour tour "???

Re: DVCA: Barclay Shield

So Vilos and 430king are the same person, yet it now seems as though Bundoora has a new name, yet I'm the one accused of this rubbish! (Including a msg from the admin staff at BigCricket)

I believe I have discovered the true identity of one of our posters ................. I have from a good source that COWCORNER is infact.......Mark "POP" Delanhy!

It would seem that there are a number of "suspect" alias on here!

Re: DVCA: Barclay Shield

My alias' are

Steve from Greensborough
Steve from Thomastown
Steve from Eltham
Steve from Mernda

Should be an interesting weekend of cricket ahead as there are always people pulling out to head to the races.

Tips for Round 4?

Eltham v Lower Eltham
Research v Macleod
Lower Plenty v Lalor Stars
Plenty v Riverside
Diamond Creek v Epping
Bundoora v Mernda

Not the case, Bundoora (as he has previously mention) is their Captain Coach, Brad Dean. I on the other hand are a retired 'C' grade opening bat loved through the competition for my gentle nature.

I wonder what odds I would have got for a Minney Hundred/Eltham Loss double in the same game?

Maybe $1.18.

Re: DVCA: Barclay Shield

1st time poster, life long reader and 1 eyed bundoora player. Great effort on the weekend boys lets hope the past 2 weeks are the start of something really special for our group. Brad Dean is the best captain we have had at this club in some time and his honest approach leaves no one wondering where they are at. Great job Brad.

Our depth looks as good as ever with Carland and Gibson missing this week and a couple guys not in the best of form thus far this season things would appear fairly rosy at this stage.

Without getting too far ahead of myself i think we have the ingredients to beat any team on our day...i repeat ON OUR DAY... fingers crossed we have a few more OUR DAYS this season and go 1 better than last season.

Till later - keep charging BULLS!!!

Knew you were a Mama's boy Brad.
Reckon if I was Mernda I'd declare just before the big race. You'd struggle to get two Bundoora players that would go out to bat. But again well done on your chase last week, as I said strange things happen when sides that are chasing big scores don't have pressure on themselves.
Just wondering if Minney could beat Eltham by himself? I'm sure he could bowl better, and he could bat without protecting the bloke at the other end all day.

Re: DVCA: Barclay Shield

Hey nice to see some new guys on, yep big chase by the Bulls would have made those famous cold handles that you guys have down there taste even better on Sat night
So I am Pops.......that even made me laugh, thanks for that.....now get back to class you child.
Snowy, just spoke to the cops and they reckon you have many more aliases than that...............and you are right this week is a hard one and will shape the season for some.
My thoughts for Round 4

Eltham v Lower Eltham – To much batting @ LE. Word out is Davo is out as ‘keeper and Whitey is recalled.
Research v Macleod – Picking the away team here, small ground will suit the Macleod batters. Wadds and Wilding in form with the bat could clock up a large total. GT will have to fire if they are a chance.
Lower Plenty v Lalor Stars – Arnberger to ton up with Zaraf in solid support.
Plenty v Riverside – Plenty seem to be hitting some form whilst the ‘siders would not know what that was (and might well be worried after this match) Riverside to be desperate but Plenty for me and I reckon maybe easily to.
Diamond Creek v Epping – Probably the hardest game of the season to pick as the rematch should be a belter. Creekers did not look as though they showed up in week one at Lower and they will need to here. Pingers in a pearler (as close as last year)
Bundoora v Mernda – another cracker and hard to call, I am sticking with Bundoora, top run chase last week and at home are going to be hard to beat. Bakes back will make it a close one though.

Cheers

Arnberger would want to get a few! Blokes have been telling us he is going to ton up every game thus far. Lose some weight fatso and then you might get some
