Panton Hill still have;

Motschy (played numerous 1's and 2's at Carlton)
Fordy (played 2's and 3's at Carlton)
Collsy (played 3's and 4's with Carlton and Melbourne Uni)
Wenborn (opened their bowling for the last 3 seasons)

Obviosuly Gunn and Wilson were very important to them, but can't understand how they were smashed by Whittlesea. I expect them to bounce back and beat some of the bottom sides including South Morang, Hurstbridge, (maybe) Mill Park, North Eltham, Bundoora Utd etc.

probably because there next 6 players are basically there to make the numbers so they put a team on the park for instnese c.dawson played 3s and 4s all last year suddenly playing ones, hopefully they can bounce back this week, those 4 blokes you named are good players so hopefully they can fire

Re: DVCA Money Shield

i cant believe the council has torn up what was a perfect ground at redleap to what they have done now, if they are watering it all summer surely the grass that was already there and green should of stayed? anyone here work for the council - FKN JOKE!

Murcott when he is on song is probaly the quickest ive seen...:D

Don't say that... he might actually start to take bowling serious.

He told me that he hit a bloke a few weeks back at training/practice match, and it went for '6' leg-byes. Any truth to that story lads? LoL. Does he still lumber in off 5-steps like he did last season???

If only he listened to his older brother about training and nutrition... he might be able to get an extra 5-10km/hr out of his bowling, and be able to sustain it for longer than 3-overs. Ahh well, he's the opposition now... bad luck :D

That would be an article about micky mckeown... good performance, must have been coming out pretty good.

Yes its a very good story, and good on Mick he works his ass off for that club. On and off the field with the development of there juniors he puts in alot of time. Cant wait to see what happens when Mick and Reg clash should make for some good viewing.

Best of luck to him..

i played with Mick when he was at his peak and was one of the best opening bowlers going around. Super Competitive and bowled long spells and could always take wickets when they were needed.
i remember he went to Mont when Lovey was there but soon left the joint after he was asked to do push ups as part of pre season!!!

Re: DVCA Money Shield

Mill Park and Bundoora United Money Res your game has been changed from Thomastown to FINDON RESERVE....

:eek:yer there were a few up sets in round 1
but i think side this week will come back strong.
wat i think of round 2 is:

Frank vs NEW: Franks will win because of the new players (duggin)

Bundoora vs Mill Park: i think after mill park last week they will come back strong and give them a thrashing.

Morang vs Whittlesea: yer whittlesea will win and have 2 under there belt early on.

Pantan Hill vs Hurstbridge: pantan hill should win but you nerver no in the 1 dayers.

Yarrambat vs Mont: the bats cause it's a 1 dayer and they just have a swing of the bat....

Good luck every 1 have a good 1:D:D

id have to agree except for panton hill getting over the line
after last weeks performance i wuldnt give them a chance:D

Re: DVCA Money Shield

Franks vs NEW: Franks definitely flag favourites
Bundoora Utd vs Mill Park: Mill Park must win this one
Morang vs Whittlesea: Big Mick in rare form
Panton Hill vs Hurstbridge: The Hill are a 4 man team, so don't like their chances
Yarrambat vs Mont: Mont look to be a good side
Thomo vs College: I rate college

Re: DVCA Money Shield

NEWCC will give St Francis a run this week with the inclusion of two new bowlers to the club, if Al. Mann can get amongst the runs, they will get up.

Hey Silly Mid how long have you been sticking up for BS rejects like Lester. Last year he struggled to hold his spot in the two's and now he is gobbing off to everyone after one score against the Bridges. I hope he goes well this week and that you keep supporting him :) No grudges here matey.

lol Nah no grudges at all mate, doesnt sound like it one bit.... Anyway back to something more interesting... Match of the round people???
Yarrambat Vs. Monty??
Will go down to the wire.

Yeah the big goat put in a big pre season lost a fair few kgs and is looking better then ever
Bowled sensational off his short run moving the ball nicely and not really bowling any bad balls
Lets hope he bowls the same this week!
