Parsons is the best, in my opinion. He was a good District 1's player at a real District club. North Melbourne isn't a strong club, so the Bulleen guys don't count.

Was an out and out chucker but if Murali can get away with it......
Agree that Keogh was the best I've seen

Work (or school) must be flat out!!
So my team would be:
Wright (captain)
Parsons
Thompson
Judd
Tongue (allrounder 1)
Hargreaves (allrounder2)
Ford (keeper)
Andrews (defensive spinner)
Davidson (opening bowler)
Bradley (opening bowler)
Knight (attacking spinner)
Unlucky are Aldons, Mackintosh and Sturgess.
Hmmm, funny team. Andrews not good enough, don't care what the stats say. Knight shouldn't be there on recent history, he was good 15 years ago. Thommo is getting on but still performing. Rest pretty good.
Got to have at least 1 spinner. I went for 2. Who are better options?

Is this based on only Dunstan? Or including previous A Turf years?
Andrews not as established as the rest - given but is also the youngest in the group by a mile. Next youngest would be Tongue and parsons around 27 I reckon.
Who is a better option?i agree, wouldnt go with andrews, doesnt bowl often enough, and certainly doesnt spin it!
Who is a better option?
Andrews has bowled 243.3 overs over the 3 years. With an economy rate of 2.77. Good stats for a defensive spinner.
Why do you need a spinner? They just take up overs that the real bowlers should be bowling.
colin miller
a good spinner is priceless, especially in this league as no one knows how to play them, batsman just panic
