Harper
Marsland
Murray
Bosworth
Benci??

As far as BPCA quicks go they say Cameron who played at Ocean Grove was rapid and Rundle from OG also, I never played against them but quick apparently

Re: Geelong Cricket '08/'09(gca/bpca)

With the season only a week and a half away, how is everyone's wicket prep going?
Are all grounds going to be ready for the first game?

both times we played thomson, bosworth didn't play. but from what i hear, on his day he's quite fast. benci's not lightning, but he pushes them down. when murray was still at ndcc, we were watching him bowl against sth barwon on tea break one day, he looked fkn lightning haha.
and what about justin miller? i saw him when he was at ndcc in their semi against east a few years back, and i don't think i've ever seen quicker haha

Re: Geelong Cricket '08/'09(gca/bpca)

anyone remember pete smith? i've heard he's probably one of, if not the quickest bowlers to ever play in geelong?

Muzz is still very sharp, hasn't bowled for us 100% fit yet, he had a back strain for the time he played with us last year.
100% fit and ready to go for rd1 so looking forward to seeing him send a few down:cool:

I played in a game with Millsy for NDCC at St Joey's a couple of years ago, and was in the slips recken i was only a few metres inside the boundary was very very quick that day.

i heard a bloke say once he was too quick to play gca. that's a pretty rubbish statement haha.
is he still at geelong? fancy being the quickest bloke in geelong, yet can't get a game in the 1's at geelong. just proves that cause you're quick, doesn't mean you're great i guess

he played with us (st mary's) cause my dad knew him pretty well. played for east, and i think he spent most of his days at highton?
i dunno if he ever played 1's for victoria, but he definatly played in their 2's.
apparently his run up was like, 8 steps, just strolled in and let rip

Dunno if there such thing as too quick to play somewhere.
He's at Geelong just been very injury prone for the last few seasons, he did play in the VCA 1sts Grand Final last year for Geelong though.

They recken Phil Unsworth was rapid in his day? Played against him a couple of times and didn't find him overly quick when he was at Guild/St Marys.

Personally from what I've faced I would think Harper, Quick, Wilson, Wiese Murray; maybe in that order. Charlie Owen and Charlie Lamb both very sharp on their day also. Miller quick for the season he was at NDCC & Cullen from BPH.

I was a kid when coached us , he was dangerous on the hard wicket. He'd bowl five bouncers an over!

two quickest spells ive seen was miller against prahan in a one dayer, and travis faulkhead at geelong in a 2nd inning. hasset was on the 30 yard circle and slips were outside it. those two spells were scary.
millsy broke a srilankan imports arm that day against prahan, i was down a 3rd man pooing my pants.
