smiljanic would be on massive money and got it all up front.
murray and jones stayed as coach and asst coach for alot of reasons other than money, murray got offered more than double at other clubs jones is on alot less than people think, and also got offerd more than double at other clubs.
i get what your saying tho there the two main players for each club, and they are.
Shane cutajar who was the coach for last 2 years is playing on for free this year, just wants success and was more than happy to let muzz have a go n c if he can go 1 better

Re: Geelong Cricket '08/'09(gca/bpca)

is jason murray the fastest bowler in geelong cricket? now that harper is almost finished and won't bowl anywhere near he's top pace anymore

all murray does is chase clubs $$ him an smiljanic are remarkably similar when it comes to clubs and coin. hopefully both settle in there new homes.
i'm sure they both coulda got a lot elsewhere, but they are both stil on a fair whack at st albans and thompson. anyone know figures $$?

also heard ferguson has signed on at corio, another loss for modda

i heard smiljanic is around $10,000 cash tommy rissole might help us on that?
from what i've heard from a few st albans people i know its around $4,000 this year and the same for next year when they head in2 the gca.
smiljanic was at st albans committed so he was telling people i know that tryed recruiting him to other clubs, then went and signed at thomson, shows the type of bloke he is, look out thomson it may b a short investment better get a flag outer him this year.

you mustn't be in on the inner sanctum of the club mate, he was on $20,000 over two years at torquay thats fact ask them they'll tell u, money well spent left when things got tough last year.
now he's gone to a lower div at a club he has no association with.
what he's there for love?

HAHA this ir just getting more and more ridiculous.
GET YOUR INFO CORRECT before posting rubbish like this mate.
Smiljanic and Murray both 2 year deals, reported about $2000 a year each with bonuses for murray = premiership, smiljanic = runs scored.

$2000 is very little compared to alot of other clubs around the region, well done to thomspon and st albans for getting them if the 2k's is infact correct, tsitas is on alot more at grovey

you mustn't have a clue this aint the 80's a decent coach is around $5000 thats par.
$2,000 for smiljanic? your kidding he's only there for money, and thats the only reason. he would of laughed in there face, as for murray who knows st albans must be throwing a bit and like i said $5000s par for a decent coach.

Thommy ill give u a little heads up. Last year NDCC v Torquay at NDCC game delayed because of rain, some blokes playing cards some having a hit up in the rooms, some just relaxing. Smiljanic was sitting at the bar drinking pots an hour before the game started with NDCC supporters.
You can say what you want this is 100% truth i've been told by 7 of he's torquay team mates who played that day.
St Albans you's save yourselfs alot of money and heart ache.

time will tell mate, not gonna go into any further than that.
he's on board for us this season and we'll go from there.
his mates with salts and has been for a while.
if he wants to be drinking at the bar instead of playing cricket wel then we wont play him.
as for the $$, good players dont come for free!
you of all people should know that.
i'm damn sure he isn't the highest paid player in the league though.
