Don't know what these Cheetah cricket players/supporters are smoking at training but i do remember that they played bush cricket last year, (must have been sleeping with with BPCA commitee to get a geurnsey) But i must say i dont think they will be getting much sleep if that vein is popping out of murrays head and he has the sleeves rolled up to improve that nice tan of his. . . . :)
Nobody likes a welled tanned cricketer with a vein out of his forehead especially with a new pill in his hand.

Good luck cheetahs you may need to take out life insurance for this one. . .

Okay guys, I know you are all passionate about your cricket but there's no need to resort to abuse, swearing or personal attacks in order to get your point across. It's just not on.

If you have a problem, PM a mod or admin or report any posts you think are out of line, that way we can make this thread friendly to all.

Now let's get this thread back on track.

yeah smoking crack :) If you call South and Babbsy both wanting him to take his cricket more seriously this season then they would be correct. As far as Babbsy causing any issues since at South Barwon then there would be none. It was just disappointing he missed out on playing this week as we could have used his spinning overs in tandem with the Blyth !!

Your work colleague must have some inside information on the babb as there has been some issues since arriving at south.

Apparently, there seems to be some trouble with finding a swans cap to fit the great mop of hair. After ordering one in, made especially for the babb in an upmarket chinese sewing factory, it seems to have dissappeared from the shipment. Also missing a helmet with the same shipment!

I have been told by an insider at the club, the shipment went to the man pictured below.

Re: Geelong Cricket '08/'09(gca/bpca)

Leopold v South Barwon @ Newtown on Sunday - match report.

After hearing that Newtown 1st XI had made 263 on the previous day the toss was going to be all important in this game and at around 6:15pm on Sunday night it was pretty much confirmed why ! The wicket was very flat, although it had a slight lean towards the clubroom side, and was pretty much grassless, none the less, Rod Kiddle won the toss after Hornet calling incorrectly again and choose to bat. Ando and Filthy Hunt started very well with both Leopold openers coming back from a Leopold FC football trip on Saturday night (hmmm, I wonder if anyone counted their beers for the day ??) looking a bit shaky early. With two dropped chances going down and a few LBW decisions not going the Swans way it was Filthy breaking through twice in quick succession. The President was then gifted a lucky wicket by bowling his second ball a straight one only to get an edge and the Lions were 3-40 odd with captain Rocket joining club coach Harvey Stephenson at the crease. These two took the score along very slowly with some tight bowling from the Swans who on the Kararchi wicket decided to see if the ball would reverse swing. I think it actually did one ball !! Anyway Hornet removed Harvey and by tea the Lions went in about 4-100 with the majority of the runs coming from some bad balls which sped away on the superfast outfield. Marshall and Rocket continued after the break with Marshall continually frustrating the Prez with some talented leaving outside off stump. hehe. Then when he finally got an edge it fell agonisingly short in front of Fordy at first slip. It was then Fordy which struck as he usually does in his first couple of overs to take out Marshall but this meant that the two Kiddle brothers were reunited one more time. A bit of power hitting from Darren took the score towards and past the 200 mark only to see Filthy come back on to trap Darren in front for 30 odd. Stowy came in and batted with Rocket for awhile but while batting did his calf which might be interesting to see if he can bowl this week, and needed a runner. Nat Blyth bowled a few tight overs and claimed the wicket of Stow, but no one could stop Rocket as he continued on towards his ton. Just when the score looked like being around270-280 Rocket exploded with the last two overs, and smashed "You Rang", yes "You Rang" :) for two big sixes. The second one actually landing on the roof of the Hornet's family car !! hehe. The final over again had 14 plus scored off it with Luke Murray hitting one of the boundaries. And that was it, a tough day at the office for the Swans but they kept at it for most of the day but could not get Rocket out. Hopefully this Sunday's forecast stays true and we might see a close game with wickets in hand at the tea break and a chase down after that. No doubt with Zanoni, Scrobalak (sorry spelling) all out and with Stow under a cloud you might see plenty of overs from Shannon Noll look alike Dean Armstrong and Rocket !!

Was given a Promo trip by CUB, was flown to Allan Border Field in Queensland and spent the afternoon with Aussie one day squad followed with a BBQ...

Re: Geelong Cricket '08/'09(gca/bpca)

The build up to this game is massive, all because one un-named Cheetahs supporter has pumped his club up. I would hope this guy actually plays in the side and he has not just sent his mates to the slaughter. If West actually do play as well as he has built them up then it will be a great game. The Saints must be favourites but funnier things have happened. Come next week it will either be a record number of posts from Cheetahs 2008 or we will not hear from him for a few weeks. Only time will tell.:)
