You have me confused. Round 2 is this weekend for both Turf and Hard wicket.:confused:

Evening mmvca, was just loooking at your A Turf team for this week. I see you have Darren Harris back. Is this D.Hayes at number 5 a new player or someone pushing up from your seconds?:)

yes, darren has come back to the club. he might have a brother that plays with us:D

And the D.Hayes you refer to is a young 17yo kid named Darcy who has been at the club for atleast the last 5 or 6 yrs. He played the last half of last season in the 1's and handled himself very nicely. Just needs a bit more confidence and will be a very good player. We will be hearing alot more of this kid.

Good to see your still in the 1's young fella. With Matty Drysdale in the side, your ave age has jumped up a bit.:)

Anyway, goodluck this weekend all you hard wicket players. As for us turf players, enjoy the cans on the weekend guys.

What about if these take place on different weekends?

Eg Plays in the seconds this week in round 2 then gets dropped to our 3rd's who are in the 1 day comp and plays in round 2 two weeks later. Is this allowed.

Yes pal that is allowed. The One day comp is whole different story when you're talking about rounds because they do not run in sync with the turf grades and the two day matting grades. The only time there will be a problem is if a player plays in the One day grade and Turf gets called off. He cannot play in the catch up game for turf because he had already played on that original weekend in the One day grade.

Just got a call from one of our players down at Hallam Reserve. The pitch is basically under water. No play there. :( More green cans to drink tomorrow.

Top 4: Wests, St.Andrews, St.Francis, Merlo/Glenroy

Batting: Jolley, Moughanie, Havranek (usual suspects), Rhett Kelly, Babo

Bowling: Pitts, Costello, Newton, K.Adams, Ward (geez going out on a limb with those names!)

Let the games begin!!! :)

If Campbell and O'Neill are gone, I can't see Vernon hanging around, seeing that Campbell got him to the club. Any news on him.

If anymore go, who am I going to butt heads with:D

so where have gibbo and oneill gone? if they lose vernon as well, they will be a shell of the team that has made the finals recently.

Well it should finally all start this weekend. Good luck to you all, and judging from everyone's predictions, I think there will be a few surprises coming up for you all this season!! :)

Alright guys, time for some tips. The weather looks promising. mmvca hows your wicket looking at HG Smith, will you guys get on?

St Marys v Socials
West Coburg v Pascoe Vale
Glenroy v St Andrews (Match of the Round)
St Francis v Haig Amateurs
Barkly St Uniting v East Coburg
Merlynston Hadfield v Sunshine Heights

Sticking with all the home teams. :)

Pascoe Vale and East Coburg have been very quiet, anyone have any news on these two clubs.
