We needed more aggressive approach like Kumble had in Kolkata but we got no result there so Kumble must have thought the same about here too. But I am happy that we have won the home series against pakistan. And what a great series for Sourav Ganguly. It was such a difficult pitch in the 2nd innings but he still played very well. I hoped he got the 100 in the 2nd innings :(

Yeah, 2-0 would have been a good result. India has dominated in this series, but 1-0 doesn't reflect that. Sourav Ganguly picked up the Player of the Match and the Player of the series and he deserved it. I'm a bit disappointed that he got out on 91 in the 2nd innings. Batting wise things are looking good for India. We need the bowlers to be fit in time for the Australian series.

Asif should be back for the Pakistan vs Australia in Pakistan Series. However, I think that Australia will not go to Pakistan due to Security Reasons. I think that they will play in Sharjah or Abu Dhabi.

We will, but i dont think the prime minister will get so involved, he was a keen cricket fan the ex-prime minister, so he intervened, but i doubt anything will this time. Look, Pakistan is a dangerous place at these times, but i dont think the Australians will come to any harm, then again, would you risk it?

It is, but sometimes life can get too mixed up with cricket, such as the Zimbabwe thing.

Anyways, whats the result going to be?

Yes, Misbah was the most determined Pakistani batsman and I think he has established his place in the Pakistan team. Its not easy to be the highest scorer when you have Younus and Yousuf in your team.

Its a scary thought, if Pakistan get themselves on form and you have Misbah, Yousef and Younis score big then a good, quickish 700 would be possible.

:laugh: They played just under 3 runs an over for the whole series. That is not quick. I saw a article on cricinfo that only Iznamam, Younis and Yousuf scored mroe than half the runs for pakistan since 2004 and they always struggles. You need more than three good batsman to be a good team.

Pakistan already only have 2 good bowlers. They got injured in this series but India would have won anyway because the batting is poor. Pakistan dont have good future until they find good batsmen. You need mroe than 3 good batsman. Australia has Hayden, Ponting, Clarke, Hussey, Gilchrist. India has Dravid, Laxman, Sachin, Ganguly and Dhoni. South Africa have Gibbs, Smith, Prince, Kallis. England have Vaughan, Cook, Bell, Petersen, Collingwood. Thats why they are top 4 teams in the world.

I'm sure Pakistan will, with batsmen like Yousef, Younis and Misbah i'm sure they'll find more, the u-19 side has some promising bowlers, and batsmen.

Please send my views to PCB if it can. Younis Khan is very cunning and selfish player. He new plays for the country instead for himself. It is his politics to not accept the captaincy as he may give the impression that he is not having any greed/intereset in captaincy but actually he has innerself very strong desire to become the captain of the team. I think PCB should never offer captaincy to Younis. It will be great punishment for him. I think Abdur Razzaq will be better choice for captain. He can be another Imran Khan for Pakistan. But Shahid Afridi, Shoaib Akhtar must be axed because they are not sincere not only with captain but also with Pakistan. Shahid Afridi Played 250 ODIs. Had PCB given 250 ODIs to a specialist batstman he would have been become great batsman and matchwinner e.g. Misbah-ul-Haq he is very sincere to Pakistan. I wish him great success in future as well. India deserves 3-0 instead 1-0 in the ongoing series because they are very committed to their task.
