Even if we lose 2-1 don't South Africa go to number 1?

but you would have to say South Africa are a good chance to win here and then we go to Sydney 2nil down, with you would think a couple of new faces in the team.

Possible changes for 3rd test.
IN: Rogers, Hilfenhaus, Watson
OUT: Hayden, Lee, Symonds

Won't happen. They won't drop Hayden. He still averages in the low 50's, so he'll be kept in.

Re: South Africa in Australia

Also, they could possibly have two spinners for Sydney, which will bring Krejza back in. Krejza >>> Hauritz IMO.

Re: South Africa in Australia

Ouch.

Regarding the spinners point. Two off spinners is a no-no IMO.

Also I would prefer one spinner, with Clarke and Katich chipping in to help. The team should look like this if Hayden announces his retirement.

S.Katich
M.Hayden (Last Match)
R.Ponting
M.Hussey
M.Clarke
B.Haddin
S.Watson
M.Johnson
J.Krejza
P.Siddle/Bollinger
B.Hilfenhaus

I agree, lets take a risk and play 2 spinners in Sydney.

I am guessing that's if Lee is still injured?

But if we were to play only one, I'd rather see Krejza bowling.

I think they would work well bowling together.

Hauritz at one end keeping it tight whilst Krejza is at the other bowling more aggressively and taking wickets.

At the moment i'd probably rather Krejza as well if we're going to play one.

I agree both of them together would be great, but I doubt the selectors will go with it.

Cripes. I think this Test is lost. We've got a good tail, but with Lee in the state he is barring a miracle they won't be able to hold on more than two sessions or so.

Who's running for Lee?
