Lavo have been crap. In my opinion our side isnt much changed at all from last season. We only lost 2 big game players from last season in Darren Batties and Ash Hulme but i cant see why we arent doing any better than what we are.

More clubs than a golf bag. I see he is playing at Werribee now, captaining there 2's. Where will he be next year??

Re: Williamstown and District Cricket Association (WADCA)

Rd 6 progress results

A Turf

Hoppers Club all out for 140, ANA 4/180

B Turf

Deerpark/Ardeer all out for 226 , ANA 0/4

Any other progress scores out there?

Laverton B Turf may pull off a suprise upset against Point Cook they made about 200 and have pt cook 1/15 i think it is.

Re: Williamstown and District Cricket Association (WADCA)

just the word going round the crease, a young bloke by the name of nat ward is slipping up the ranks, he has a nice little chinaman arm and he can produce a fair bit of sling, in the next few years when he sprouts up a bit and picks up the leverage on his bowling he will be a real contender for county cricket. although he is a long way off, if he keeps at it, he will get there. his idol all his life has been stewart makill and steve war.

nat ward bowls ok plays in my u/21 rep team........good kid with a lot of talent........

wasnt there today but was checking up on the scores throughout the day.......another creat team performance with yet another win

nwca 9/194
r.miles 5/27 off 9
unsure of who the other wicket takers were but the opposition were 2/150 off 30 to restrict them to 194 is a great comeback.......

batting wdca 4/197 got em with 3 overs to spare....
nat ward opened made 27
shannon evans 35 i think
scott grioli 43
shaun gill 51*
reece miles 30 odd not out........

all in all over the three week ends the boys were in every game and could have had 3 out of 3 but 2 and 1 is a great effort considering the 2 wins were chasing good totals just goes to show the young blokes of the comp have a real dip for each other and the wdca.......good stuff hopefully we make the final but i dont think so we had a bad %.......anyway i want to do it next year as well hopefully all the teams in the comp push their young kids to play......

cheers m.b

Will be the upset of the season in B turf if they get up. Point Cook bowling line up is not as strong as at the beggining of the season. T.Semmens hasnt played since rd 3, not sure if he is suspensed by the comp, or by point cook or just injured/unavailable.

Re: Williamstown and District Cricket Association (WADCA)

willy comp under 21 rep side finished a tight 3rd........ .5 of a % out of second spot......shattered

anyway they had a crack

Re: Williamstown and District Cricket Association (WADCA)

ANA could get outrite against hoppers in the a turf, getting something write at least WDCA cricketer, ANA seconds will get beaten pretty badly though, hav heard that u hav no batsmen, batting held up by a 14 year old kid that doesnt make runs, looks like easy victory for deer park

Yeah our B turf batting has been very poor this season. Though we have batted most of our overs, just for not much return. Good luck in getting the kid out, very stubborn, his actually in for his keeping, his batting has been a big bonus for us. We are also playing on matts because deer park turf table not ready yet. Couple of the guys are due to make runs, have some big hitters who havent fired yet this year.

Most of the year weve been playing youngsters, had 6 in against hoppers.
Have been competitive in most games this year so far besides Point Cook.

Re: Williamstown and District Cricket Association (WADCA)

The VB 20/20 game between Footscray ANA v. Airport West-St Christophers (AWSC) is to be played this Sunday at Angliss Reserve Yarraville starting at 2pm. Footscray ANA are representing the West Metro region 9 and AWSC the North West region 10. It should be a good game so get down and have a look.
Grandfinalist teams get to play on the MCG.

Re: Williamstown and District Cricket Association (WADCA)

for anyone who gives a ********, i'm a former werribee south player from when they were in churches.

good to see they're still kicking on in this comp, albeit with a lot less players/teams.

How did ANA go on Sunday in the VB 20/20 against Airport West?

Went down in the last over, had a chance to win with one over to go. ANA
made around 109 and Airport West got the runs with 2 balls to spare. Couple of dropped catches was the difference in the end, the winning runs came of a hard dropped catch chance.

How are you guys shapping up for the big clash this week?, Definally crunch game for us and no doubt you guys would like to consolidate your spot in the four.

Looks like they had quite a number of first Eleven players moving at the start of the season, seen a few playing for Werribbe Centrals and Altona.

Re: Williamstown and District Cricket Association (WADCA)

Bad luck..Would have been good to see one of the comps teams win and keep going.

Yep, big game this week, as they all are from now on. Get a win and go into the xmas break in the 4. Need to win this one and then keep winning if we are to play finals.

You guys have done well with the step up to A-Turf which is good to see.

Good run chase by the B-Turf too, should be a good game against our B-turf who are playing well.

Yeah should be a beauty in B turf, we havent fired with the bat till DeerPark/Ardeer game. Could go either way in the one dayers. Looks like your B turf are in fine form.

At this stage only Point Cook have cemented their spot in the top 4. Willi Colts should make it, and will depend if their star Batsman plays in that grade to how far they go. You guys look like you have the depth to stay in the top 4. Don't know to much about Wyndhamvale, looks like their bowling is their key.

Other teams that will be pressing for a top four spot include Grand United, Deerpark Ardeer, ANA & Hoppers club.

Re: Williamstown and District Cricket Association (WADCA)

Rd 7 A Turf Tips

GU to take the points against Colts in a close one.
ANA to beat Newport Digman in a upset
Whyndhamvale easily over Rams
Willi Imps in a close one against Lavo
Gellibrand to beat Hoppers

Re: Williamstown and District Cricket Association (WADCA)

Grand United over Colts
Digman over ANA
Wyndhamvale over Rams (Now at Wyndhamvale instead of Rams)
Lavo over Imps
Hoppers over Gellibrand
