Maybe you're not part of the decision making group at Plenty and are just unaware of what is going on?

No im very much aware of the decisions being made at my club. If you are the bloke who i think you are it seems your club has made alot of right decisions since you no longer have no say in the decision making process.

A. All depends who you think I am? Want to have a guess, I'll give you a straight answer, I don't have anything to hide, but....

B. If you guess correctly then I'll probably know who you are, although I've long held suspicions as to your true identity, your online m/o is the same as on field m/o.

C. Pleased to see you take interest in the running of my club. My club has been heading in the right direction long before I got involved and will continue long after I'm gone. I'll probably leave it to Bundoora people to judge my contribution.

and I thought things were going to be a buit quieter this season!

Re: DVCA: Barclay Shield

If they want to tell you, then I'm sure they will. I have a feeling you'll only end up being disappointed anyway.

With that, lets get back to cricket chat.

Well come on, have a guess? Or are you scared you'll expose your identity?

i have never hiden anything, tell the people if you want.

Getting back onto topic just wondering what sort of condition most grounds are in atm. I know our ground Plenty park is still pretty good with a fair cover of grass but pretty hard under foot.

Re: DVCA: Barclay Shield

Word is Merndas ground is impecable.. close to the best surface in the comp.... On the other hand the pitch is virtually unplayable!! jumps off a good length one ball then stays low the next. Anyone else found this to be the case:confused:

Re: DVCA: Barclay Shield

Rumour is Eltham's ground is fairly handy. Mernda's ground may be good, but it is still in the middle of no where, and the pitch is a disgrace!

Lalor's ground looks like a scene out of "Saving Private Ryan"

Worth watching the young kid Wilding, he is also (or at least was) very sharp with the ball, sent down half a dozen overs of smoke a few years ago in the snr's when still a jnr. Not sure how quick now days.

thats correct lalors ground has bunkers , pits , and on the odd occasion a few land mines does not help that on every saturday night the enemy comes out of there holes and play soccer on it and there is a proper soccer ground in walking distance. i enjoy playing away games:D

As much as I like the Stars their ground and changing area are a disgrace. I personally love grounds with a bit of character but there's is far too short on the straight boundary and you need a proper away room. I know times are hard but something really needs to be done about the facilities at your ground.
Which I suppose begs the question which are the best and worst facilities in the league? My Vote for best overall Epping/Eltham, worst Stars/Mernda. Can't split em.

Yeah i did many years ago.

Premiers Again will never wear a green helmet again as he quoted tonight, only when he comes down to Northcote will he need to wear a green helmet. Speaking of Northcote, Twenty20 game on Wednesday the 18th of November at Binnak Park vs Melbourne CC from 5:15 onwards. Hodge, Harwood, Dale, McDonald and Hill will all be playing for Melbourne, for Northcote Gloury and Alleyne are the two to look out for. Free entry, buy a drink get one free, will be a good spectacle.

its funny got the phone call today that we have to be out in 2 weeks due to club room redevelopment so for the remainder of the year we will have the worst as they will be portables which for some might be better then what we had. as for the ground totally agree but cant do much about that until the council decides to revamp are ground.

yes have to agree as we played there on the weekend.

The ground is impeccable (except for some rabbit holes). brings back memories of what we used to play on 10 years ago when it used to rain !! Helps when the council waters the ground every day.
On the other hand the pitch is a disgrace and is dangerous to play on. The DVCA need to look at this urgently before someone is seriously hurt.
On no fewer than 4 occasions on Saturday a player was hit in the head ( all had helmets thankfully).
Apparently some water got under the synthetic and it has bubbled and come unstuck. Pretty simple fix though - just needs to be stripped and re-glued.

21 wickets fell in a single days play.
Now I dont think any of Bundoora dismissals could blame the pitch directly but certainly the doubt about getting into correct positions to play correct shots might not have helped. You never knew if the ball was going to fly and hit you in the head off a length. Or hit you in the ankles from mid pitch.

Hopefully it plays a few more tricks this week (safely) and we can get back in the game.
