I don't know about this Berry bloke but Leon Strang was a very good player for Baseballers over the years I know he went to GU and played in a flag last year and thats something he was never going to get at Newport good luck to him.

Leon Strang is the unluckiest bowler in the comp apparently...

Peter Berry - one would assume he would retire now?? he would have to be nearly 50?

Almost preseason times, what has changed?
Nothing, the Matthew Frew side show will continue on as he carries Grand United to another flag...8 in a row you say, some will try, all will fail.

what club are you with?

Re: Williamstown and District Cricket Association (WADCA)

Wyndhamvale train on the first sunday in august. Looking forward to training again

West Newport will be back in the WDCA as i was told last week. Drop Rams down again, then it might stop everybody lining up for points against them. the 3 points they got last year was from the washout in the 1 dayer before christmas haha

I only wish l was joking..... I was always the belief that 4 weeks was enough preseason training.

I think its more of a fitness thing to start early than actually doing and cricket related drills...

how you blokes going for players?

Well, hard to say at the moment, with a few players allready indicated their retirments at presentation night and a couple more may follow suit due to ill health.

Cant confirm any recruits yet, only hear say at the moment with 3 possible pickups via Captain Coach mates.

Will have a very young list in the 2nd's this year via under 17s juniors and first year senior players and a few will push up to the first. Will definally be a development year.

Hoping to be competitive in A Turf this season, which l think we proved in quite a few games last year. Batting will need to improve alot, and need to learn to face all the overs in this Grade to have a chance winning against top 4 teams.

The wouldnt make the top 4...

People get a bit carried away with VTCA.. they didnt do any good in that comp. They wont go back to WDACA and go any good..

Expect Wyndham Vale to improve again, along with laverton and Digman.. GU will be a good side again.. maybe Imps to stand up this year??

Re: Williamstown and District Cricket Association (WADCA)
