There are reports on news channels that tour can still be cancelled. They are having discussions at Powars(BCCI president) house about it. Many people in India want the tour cancelled.

A few minutes ago, BCCI official Rajiv Shukla was asked if the tour is going to continue. He refused to answer the question and simply stated that the Indian Team is in Sydney. An official stated, on the condition of anonymity, that the team will stay in Sydney until the ban is overturned. They have also requested that Bucknor and Benson should not officiate in matches involving India.

Yes, i think its to serious a claim for it to be false, i would find it hard to believe someone lie about that, because it questioning their integrity as a person

i think thats a bit harsh, i think they are pulling out because they think they, and they might have been, have been hard done by the umpiring. but thats just my opinion, ill be interested to hear what some Indians think the reason is, AB

According to the statement from BCCI, the Indian team is unhappy with the umpiring and other unfortunate incidents that happened in the match. They also feel that a 3 Test ban for Harbhajan is unfair considering the lack of any audio or video evidence. None of the players heard Harbhajan calling Symonds a 'monkey' so they are believing in Harbhajan's word.
I doubt that. Harbhajan would hardly be effective on the Perth wicket. I think India might benefit if Harbhajan doesn't play. We should have only played 1 spinner in Australia and Kumble is our best spinner. He shouldn't have played the past two tests.kizza said:

yeh but why would symonds make it up??

It's all a bit of handbags really, Symonds get involved in something that he shouldn't have and Singh made the comment back.
Ok, if he said what he said then it's not on really but it's being blown out of all proportion.
A suspended 3 match bad would have been more in keeping with events, unless Singh has prior offences of this nature.

the only solution is that harbhajan should be unbanned. i didnt like mike proctors statement. he says that harbhajan intended to hurt symonds by abusing his race. how is he so damn sure without any evidence? i can accept that harbhajan might have said some things to symonds but he shouldnt be accused of racism.
